Space Force - Advanced Software Engineer - Cloud/AWS

About the position

As a software engineer for the SDA GMI program, you’ll be a member of a cross-functional team responsible for developing and deploying the state-of-the-art ground operational systems. We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy state-of-the-art ground operational systems.
• Collaborate with development team members, operations, and security teams.
• Identify issues and develop effective solutions.
• Generate documentation and share important knowledge.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field.
• 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
• Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice-to-haves

• Agile experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Scaled Agile methodology and its best practices.
• Experience with AWS (AWS Solutions Architect strongly preferred) and its services.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with event streaming platforms like Kafka.
