About the position
Amazon Lab126 is an inventive research and development company that designs and engineers high-profile consumer electronics. Lab126 began in 2004 as a subsidiary of Amazon.com, Inc., originally creating the best-selling Kindle family of products. Since then, we have produced great products like Fire tablets, Fire TV, and Amazon Echo. As a Software Development Engineer - Wireless Software application team, you will engage with experienced cross-disciplinary staff to conceive and design innovative consumer products. Your ownership can span across application, device framework, proprietary/standard connectivity stack, drivers, and low-level wireless controller coexistence and scheduler algorithms. You will be building localization software based on wireless signals and will have the opportunity to work on connectivity solutions across all Amazon digital devices, including Kindle, Fire TV, Echo, IoT, and more.
Responsibilities
- Engage with cross-disciplinary teams to design innovative consumer products.
- Own connectivity solutions across Amazon digital devices.
- Build localization software based on wireless signals.
- Integrate Bluetooth protocol stack software on Android and/or embedded platforms.
- Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of products.
Requirements
- Experience building innovative, mission-critical, high-volume applications.
- Experience integrating Bluetooth protocol stack software.
- Experience with Android and/or embedded platforms.
- Strong coding skills and ability to design scalable solutions.
