About the position

Seeking world-class talent to join the world's leading distributor of automotive and industrial replacement parts and value-added services operating 5,500+ locations and servicing more than 20,000 locations in the U.S and Canada. Working with a highly talented team, you'll play a key role to build and run one of the world's largest automotive and industrial replacement parts operations. This is an engineering role with responsibility for enabling modernization in the Order Management domain and execution for GPC's vision of a unified order management platform. The Senior Software Engineer, Supply Chain OMS will be part of the team that supports NAPA Order Management applications across the United States. The individual will take direction from the Manager, works with other Engineers, Senior Engineers, Product Managers to Develop, Configure, Test and Support the Systems as well as mentor other Engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, tests, deploys, and maintains software, with a clear understanding of the value the software is to provide.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 2 years (4+ preferred) years of software development experience, preferably with supply chain domain.
  • Strong hands-on coding skills in Java and Python.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms and cloud-native development.
  • Packaged Software experience in the OMS/DOM is a great addition.
  • Proven expertise or work experience within the supply chain domain.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
  • Experience or familiarity with Angular or similar front-end frameworks is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
  • Knowledge of database technologies, both SQL and NoSQL.
  • Exposure to DevOps practices and tools.
