About the position

The Senior Marketing Manager of In-Store Experience will be the strategic lead of the in-store channel. This position is highly collaborative with the Brand Marketing team and Division Marketing teams and will provide governance on how to best communicate messaging to our in-store customers focusing on semi-permanent institutional messaging, promotional campaigns, at shelf-communication and other in-store experiences (music, video boards, third party agencies, etc.). The position will be based in Plano, TX.

Responsibilities

  • Develop overall strategy and hierarchy of in-store consumer messaging that aligns to brand standards
  • Leverage data and insights to develop zones for various types of communications
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for the organization to plan and execute in-store programs and marketing campaigns
  • Participate in cross-functional teams during the entire lifecycle of development, including deployment and post-deployment activities
  • Anticipate upstream and downstream impacts of the project and work with internal business groups to adjust business tools and practices to support new features and functionality
  • Present and secure approval from senior management and other key stakeholders, as necessary
  • Partner with Strategic Brand team and Division Marketing teams on the role seasonality plays in-store and develop tool kits that align to overarching seasonal Vis ID for divisions to leverage to build out in-store support
  • Improve production cost efficiencies through partnership with sourcing and enhanced lead time for campaign execution
  • Bring national campaigns (Loyalty, Omnichannel, Brand, National Sales Events) to life in the store through strategic planning, direction to the creative execution team and collaboration with Divisions and Merchandisers
  • Manage all in-store media including in-store radio, digital signing, video, etc.
  • Collaborate with the shelf communication team to ensure clear and concise communication of pricing and promotions (healthy aisles, nutritional scoring, creative direction)
  • Collaborate, plan and execute in-store programs with agency partners
  • Align closely with divisions to execute national programs that weave into local management of in-store marketing
  • Act as an advisor and resource to Divisions for local needs
  • Partner with Albertsons Media Collective on in-store partnerships to include Neptune, RTUI, etc.
  • Partner with national center store Merchandising teams as needed
  • Manage circular channel guidance for national campaigns
  • Creative development (in partnership with Brand Marketing), execution, timelines and reporting on division adoption

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing; MBA a plus
  • 5 years' experience in one or more of the following areas: retail marketing, brand marketing, development and planning of customer focused sign communication
  • Strong knowledge of large format printing processes, timelines, materials, etc.
  • 5 years' experience of leading and managing highly matrixed project management
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted
  • Ability to foster relationships, collaborate with others and work effectively in teams
  • Articulate and persuasive written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Solid analytical and quantitative skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, problem solve, multi-task and deliver with good time management skills
  • Strong customer focus and orientation
