The RST RPE Senior Product Engineer is responsible for instrumentation product design and change management.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for production support engineering with respect to testing methods, procedures, and problems; device specification and yield problems; minor redesign of devices and masks; analysis of customer returns; supplier related engineering changes and optimizing device production relative to cost constraints.
  • Assume responsibility for device and/or internally produced or externally purchased components after transfer into high-volume production and usually responsible for entire device manufacturing operations other than wafer fabrication.
  • May assist customer in device usage problems or customer testing of complex devices.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or
  • Advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • 4-7 years of medical device engineering experience
  • Mechanical acumen with understanding of manufacturing processes for our finished products.
  • Experience with a large company with a global footprint and having project management experience executing goals with cross functional teams.
  • Understanding the role of a Product owner and experience using our internal change order systems.
  • Understanding of the change development process (CDP) for implementing small-med-large projects.
  • Understanding/experience with executing corrective and preventative actions (CAPA) and championing root cause analysis tools with ability to navigate through them with a larger team.
  • Medical product development experience including hands-on experience with medical/surgical devices/instruments
