About the position

Customer Purchase Journey (CPJ) team at Amazon forms the backbone of multiple commerce experiences like Classic Retail, Alexa Shopping, Prime Now, Amazon Fresh to name a few. We own the CX and services that power the discovery and selection of products, services, and delivery options tailored to the customer's unique location, which then enables them to build their Cart, Checkout, review their order via Thank You Page, and ensure timely post order processing and refunds processing. Our goal is to enable rich and low-latency experiences for the customer throughout their shopping journey. We are looking for a Sr. Product Manager - Technical, in the CPJ product team. The role will be responsible for working across high visibility product areas, while developing & executing a vision that balances forward looking trends in large scale data processing, machine learning and data science with the immediate needs of customer journey in the eCommerce space.

Responsibilities

  • Be the voice of the customer - you are in the driver’s seat for steering the end-to-end vision for your space using the working backwards processes and supporting A|B experimentation mechanisms.
  • Define and improve metrics to gain insight into the customer experience and track progress towards goals.
  • Influence tech partners to ensure our architectural decisions align with customer needs.
  • Partner with teams like Delivery Experience, Prime, Fulfillment, Returns and Refunds, Customer Service (and more) to deliver on your roadmap.
  • Collaborate with multiple partner teams that innovate across our services, gaining insight into Amazon-wide strategic initiatives and priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
  • Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
