About the position

We build commerce services to support merchants in growing their off-Amazon businesses. We're looking for an experienced product manager - technical to build innovative solutions that enable merchants of all sizes to easily integrate our commerce solutions such as Buy with Prime into their existing front-end (e.g., Direct-to-Customer e-commerce site) and back-end (e.g., OMS/ERP) systems. As a Sr. Product Manager Technical, you will lead product strategy, turning customer insights and feedback into plans that accelerate delivery of the right product for merchants and shoppers. You will work directly with dedicated engineering teams and senior leadership to drive product development for developer-facing products influencing fundamental technical design decisions, product roadmap, go-to-market plans and long-term strategy. Our ideal teammate will possess a strong product management background and have experience leading large-scale technical products. You are naturally curious, data-driven and entrepreneurial as you take end-to-end ownership for your product. You are the kind of leader who anticipates bottlenecks, deftly navigates ambiguity, makes informed trade-off decisions and skillfully balances the needs of the business versus technical constraints. You have exceptional written and verbal communication skills that help you build strong partnerships with colleagues and influence senior leaders. Responsibilities

  • Develop and communicate a compelling product vision and strategy.
  • Deeply understand the technology and collaborate closely with your engineering partners to support the long term technology strategy for our integration products.
  • Understand customer pain points and collaborate with engineering counterparts on the roadmap to address gaps, identify dependencies and clear blockers, balancing impact vs. engineering cost.
  • Define the success metrics for features or services to track performance, deep-dive on issues and uncover trends and patterns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
  • Experience managing technical products or online services
  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
  • Experience with developer platforms and developer experience (DX) design

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree
  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • Experience building API solutions (REST, GraphQL) for developer customers
