About the position

The Senior Product Marketing Manager, Value Added Bakery, is responsible for leading the breads and rolls category. The role includes planning the strategic direction for the assigned category as well as driving product lifecycle management, establishing pricing strategy, developing marketing plans, new product/platform roadmaps, financial management and overall responsibility for delivering business results. This Sr. Product Marketing role will also be responsible for the management and growth of direct reports.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive assigned category plans and execution to achieve market share, volume and profit targets.
  • Cross-functional team leadership on key initiative products and programs.
  • Ensure execution of plans and achievement of results by aligning and preparing the team.
  • Perform competitive analysis, market quantification and assessment.
  • Lead Discovery work to generate new products and platforms within appropriate target segments.
  • Manage Rich’s brand strategy and value proposition within the assigned category.
  • Plan and execute marketing plans for the assigned category to drive demand.
  • Develop product life-cycle and SKU rationalization plan for category to optimize portfolio performance.
  • Own and manage the assigned category P&L.
  • Identify issues and opportunities to maximize profitability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field required (MBA preferred).
  • 8+ years of experience delivering successes in a marketing role.
  • Proven strategic planning skills in a product marketing role.
  • In-depth understanding of financial principles including P&L, RONA, IRR and NPV.
  • Solid communication skills including verbal and written capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability in collaboration and organizing work.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with direct reports or cross-functional resources.
  • Previous supervisory experience a plus.
  • Experience in the food or CPG industry a plus.
  • Proven track record of leadership, taking initiative and delivering results.
  • Solid software proficiency including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%.
