About the position

As a Staff Product Manager for Vanta for Government, you will drive the vision, strategy, and execution of our product offerings tailored to customers working with and within the US government. This is a highly impactful position requiring deep understanding of government security standards, customer needs, and the ability to drive cross-functional teams effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Define Product Strategy: Lead the product strategy for Vanta for Government, aligning with our mission and addressing the unique challenges faced by government customers.
  • Drive the Roadmap: Develop, maintain, and communicate the product roadmap for government products and features, ensuring alignment with both customer needs and Vanta’s broader goals.
  • Generate Insight: Collaborate with customers, internal teams, partners, and other stakeholders to generate insights that drive the product vision.
  • Collaborate Across Functions: Work closely with engineering, design, sales, and other stakeholders to bring products and features to market, ensuring alignment and clear communication throughout.
  • Government Alignment: Leverage and further develop expertise in government programs like FedRAMP, FISMA, and NIST to ensure our products and strategy position Vanta to help drive key government initiatives and objectives.
  • Iterate to Greatness: Establish key metrics and use data to drive iteration and build products that users love to use. Help everyone understand what success means for Vanta and our customers.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of product management experience, with a minimum of 3 years focused on government, security, compliance, or governance products.
  • Solid understanding of and experience with US government programs, stakeholders, and standards related to security and compliance.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and taking products from ideation to market.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for different audiences.
  • Autonomous work style with the ability to make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for helping customers working with and within the US government build trust through security and compliance.
