About the position

Jobgether is a Talent Matching Platform that partners with companies worldwide to efficiently connect top talent with the right opportunities through AI-driven job matching. One of our companies is currently looking for a Staff Software Engineer, Finance Engineering in the United States. We are looking for a highly experienced backend engineer to take a technical leadership role on a core finance platform team. You’ll design and build services and APIs that manage high-volume financial transactions, reporting, and reconciliation processes. In this role, you’ll partner with cross-functional teams across engineering, product, and finance to deliver scalable and reliable infrastructure. Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, and evolution of the company’s finance platform and related services
  • Develop and maintain APIs that facilitate large-scale financial transactions across banking partners and payment systems
  • Drive improvements in system performance, observability, and reliability as the company scales
  • Automate financial reporting, reconciliation, and audit processes
  • Collaborate across functions to define requirements and deliver new financial tools and features
  • Implement infrastructure as code and leverage AWS services to support cloud-based architecture
  • Contribute to engineering best practices and mentor other team members

Requirements

  • 6+ years of software development experience, with a focus on backend systems
  • Proven leadership in managing complex projects and guiding technical teams
  • Proficiency in Java, Python, Golang, or TypeScript/Node.js
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB)
  • Skilled in building fault-tolerant, distributed systems
  • Deep understanding of AWS cloud services, and infrastructure as code (CDK, Terraform, CLI)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work across both technical and non-technical teams
  • Experience in financial systems, including reporting, reconciliation, and handling large data sets
