About the position

Reporting to the Director of Marketing Strategy and collaborating closely with leaders in the Office of Strategic Operations, the Strategic Marketing Associate leads marketing project planning, content development, and coordination to support university enrollment initiatives. The Strategic Marketing Associate supports the management of key admission marketing channels including print, social media and website content; assists with video and photography projects; and works with external vendors to ensure consistency in style and voice across marketing assets. They ensure all marketing materials are accurate, timely and aligned with Concordia University Chicago's mission and branding.

Responsibilities

  • Lead marketing project planning, content development, and coordination to support university enrollment initiatives.
  • Manage key admission marketing channels including print, social media, and website content.
  • Assist with video and photography projects.
  • Work with external vendors to ensure consistency in style and voice across marketing assets.
  • Ensure all marketing materials are accurate, timely, and aligned with Concordia University Chicago's mission and branding.
  • Plan, create, and post social media content, engage audiences, and track performance metrics.
  • Attend university events to acquire content for social media as required.
  • Perform basic print, photo, and video editing and organize assets within digital management systems.
  • Utilize a variety of design and production software, including Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Align marketing efforts with Concordia University Chicago's mission, strategic priorities, and Lutheran identity.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Proven success managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including writing and editing marketing copy with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Competency in writing/editing according to Associated Press (AP) Style Manual.
  • Experience in planning, creating, and posting social media content.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communication, Arts, or related field.
  • Competency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Bridge.
  • Competency in website/content management system software, social media platforms, project management software.
  • Graphic design, photography, and/or videography experience is a plus.
