About The Position

The Strategy Director is a strategic leader responsible for guiding high value client partnerships, leading cross functional teams, and driving measurable business growth. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, client leadership, and operational execution. You will lead complex accounts, connect strategy across disciplines, and ensure teams deliver integrated marketing programs that produce meaningful results. The ideal candidate brings deep agency experience, thrives in a fast paced environment, and understands how to translate marketing strategy into long term client partnerships. You have the ability to travel for this role once a month and will act as a trusted strategic advisor to senior client stakeholders while collaborating with internal teams to deliver exceptional work across media, creative, digital, and brand strategy.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in account leadership, marketing strategy, or senior roles within a marketing or advertising agency
  • Proven experience managing complex client relationships and high value accounts
  • Demonstrated success retaining and growing long term client partnerships
  • Strong strategic mindset with the ability to connect insights across multiple marketing disciplines
  • Experience developing integrated marketing strategies that align creative, media, and digital execution
  • Confidence presenting strategy and performance insights to senior client stakeholders
  • Expertise in project management and operational processes
  • Ability to lead multiple work streams while maintaining clarity and organization across teams
  • Experience mentoring and developing team members within a fast paced agency environment
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship building skills
  • Ability to identify opportunities for growth and position strategic marketing solutions
  • Strong problem solving and decision making capabilities

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the senior strategic partner for key accounts and executive client stakeholders
  • Lead the development of integrated marketing strategies across creative, media, digital, and brand disciplines
  • Translate client goals into clear strategic roadmaps and measurable performance outcomes
  • Present strategic recommendations, campaign performance insights, and growth opportunities to client leadership
  • Own revenue retention and organic growth across assigned accounts
  • Identify opportunities to expand partnerships through new services, campaigns, and strategic initiatives
  • Lead renewal conversations and long term partnership planning
  • Partner with agency leadership to support new business opportunities when appropriate
  • Lead and align cross functional teams including strategy, creative, media, digital, analytics, and production
  • Ensure all disciplines work together to deliver cohesive marketing strategies and storytelling
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to account and campaign management teams
  • Foster a collaborative culture that encourages strategic thinking and creative problem solving
  • Oversee complex projects across multiple clients while maintaining strong operational discipline
  • Ensure teams follow strong project management processes and communication practices
  • Maintain clarity across internal teams regarding priorities, timelines, and deliverables
  • Serve as a senior escalation point for client or project challenges
