About the position

This is a full-time, direct placement role at Virtexo Corporation. As Site Superintendent, responsible for all construction work and activities that are performed at the job site. Coordinate and sequence all work activities per the project schedule. Maintain, track and update project schedule. Provide detailed 3-week look-ahead schedules to all project team members. Coordinate and assist with Request for Information document. Ensure project meets the highest quality and safety standards. Assist project management team in planning, scheduling, and management of a successful project. Ensure all work is installed per contract documents and assist in project closeout and turnover.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and supervises all construction activities.
  • Conduct periodic coordination/scheduling meetings with project team members.
  • Supervise work on or ahead of schedule, and, on or under budget.
  • Knowledge in reading and understand blueprints, specifications, and contract requirements.
  • Implement, supervise, and maintain Safety Plan and safety compliance with all personnel.
  • Directs and supervise all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to original plans and specifications.
  • Maintains construction schedule, identifies and solves problems.
  • Orders materials and schedules inspections as necessary throughout the process.
  • Maintains positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers and other employees.
  • Prepares schedules and supervises the completion of a final punch list.
  • Ensures all company employees and contractors are adhering to the company safety policy. Rectifies job site hazards immediately.
  • Coordinate periodic safety inspections with corporate safety office.
  • Assist in Quality Control Management Plan.
  • Maintains an organized job site.
  • Utilizes strong organizational skills.
  • Displays strong written and oral communication skills and effective listening skills.
  • Possesses well developed interpersonal skills including the ability to work well with diverse personalities.
  • Coordinate and conduct final inspections with government contracting and civil engineer personnel.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years experience supervising commercial and federal government contracts.
  • OSHA 30, CPR/First Aid Certifications required.
  • CQC certification preferred.
  • BS Degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.
  • Army Corps Safety Manual EM 385 1.1.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Related Field Experience.
