The Supplier Quality Engineer II works closely with cross-functional teams, including Design Engineering, Supply Chain, Production, Warranty, Supplier Partners, and other Quality Engineers to identify and mitigate supplier quality risks. They support containment of supplier originated quality issues and issues, approve, and verify supplier corrective action requests and responses. They qualify new suppliers (including onsite quality audits and survey evaluation) and monitor their performance and develop suppliers as needed. They provide supplied part acceptance criteria, evaluation of meeting the criteria (PPAP), and approve new supplied parts for production use. Performs work under general supervision. Handles moderately complex issues and problems; refers more complex issues to higher-level staff. Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter.
