About the position
The position is for a Teacher of Special Education, effective January 2025. The role involves working with elementary school students who have various ability levels and disabilities, ensuring that their educational needs are met in accordance with state standards.
Requirements
- Hold a NJ Teacher of the Handicapped or Teacher of Students with Disabilities certification endorsement in Mathematics and English.
- Knowledge of NJSLS and Common Core Standards
- Experience with working elementary school students with various ability levels and disabilities.
- Ability to analyze and use data to drive instruction
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, with staff, parents, and community.
- Must be computer literate and able to use interactive computer instructional software
- Excellent class management
