Responsibilities
- Lead the development of innovative and scalable software solutions
- Design, implement, and maintain mission-critical systems contributing to the company’s overall technology strategy
- Lead a team of engineers with at least one direct report
- Write, test, and maintain high-quality code, ensuring it meets functional and non-functional requirements
- Architect robust solutions; identify the right technologies to solve complex problems even in the face of ambiguity
- Lead the design, architecture, and development of high-performance, scalable software systems
- Contribute to architectural decisions, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability of software systems
- Mentor other engineers, establish best practices, and drive technical excellence across teams
- Build high-quality software with AI that solves real business problems and delivers tangible value
- Uphold coding standards, best practices, and guidelines while conducting code reviews to ensure high-quality solutions
- Translate requirements into working solutions and deliver reliable systems through rigorous engineering practices
- Analyze and resolve complex technical issues, optimizing code and improving system performance
- Drive continuous improvements in code quality, development processes, and team efficiency
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams and API specifications
- Clearly communicate technical decisions and strategies to all stakeholders
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation
- Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, stand-up meetings, and retrospectives
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong background in software design and architecture
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages (Java, Python, Go, Typescript, etc.)
- Knowledge of front end javascript frameworks
- Deep knowledge of software architecture patterns and design (e.g., microservices, distributed systems, hexagonal architecture, domain driven design, etc.)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Available to work EST hours, beginning at 8 am EST (due to work with offshore teams)
- Experience leading software engineering teams
- Experience managing direct reports
