Iteris is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Product Support Specialist to deliver exceptional field and remote support for Iteris solutions, including advanced detection and ITS (Intelligent Transportation Systems) equipment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with cutting-edge technology, providing vital training, troubleshooting, and programming support. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver committed to excellence in customer service and technical expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver top-tier support alongside the sales team, assisting with pre- and post-sale services to exceed client expectations
  • Provide comprehensive on-site, remote, and phone-based troubleshooting, system turn-on, and support of Iteris detection and signal-related ITS devices
  • Execute installation, maintenance, and repair services for Iteris equipment under maintenance/service contracts, emphasizing responsiveness and accountability
  • Uphold high safety standards while working in and around roadways, including proficiency in the use of bucket trucks
  • Foster strong client relationships by delivering professional, timely, and effective technical solutions
  • Regularly travel (up to 50% overnight) to ensure optimal on-site project support

Requirements

  • IMSA Level I Certification (or the ability to obtain) required; IMSA Work Zone Safety certification highly preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of field-based technical support experience with intersection traffic equipment (e.g., cabinets, controllers, detection systems)
  • Proven track record working with ITS equipment, whether for a manufacturer or in a municipal/contractor role
  • Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional service, professionalism, and effective communication in high-stakes environments
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented professional with strong organizational skills and a commitment to continuous improvement
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) is essential
  • Must hold an acceptable driving record and be able to travel extensively
