About the position

National Airlines, based in Orlando, FL, operates passenger charter service as well as customized military and commercial air cargo carriages worldwide. National Airlines specializes in over-sized, time sensitive, and special handling requirements, utilizing 747-400 and A-330 aircraft to accomplish its missions. The Travel Consultant assists crew schedulers and other staff members to make travel arrangements for NAL employees along with reconciliation of travel charges and policy compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Assists NAL Crew Schedulers with booking Crew or other NAL staff members, new hire, and training travel arrangements, air/car/hotel, and black car if necessary.
  • Requests will be via email, phone or walk up.
  • Bookings will be made via Concur travel tool, with our dedicated travel management company or direct with select vendors due to safety restrictions.
  • Assists with re-booking and cancelling of travel services when there has been a charter flight change.
  • Performs daily checks to make sure all travel arrangements are accurate and in accordance with crew members rosters and travel policy.
  • Monitors Air and Hotel booking to avoid double bookings or late cancelation for air tickets and hotels.
  • Communicates important information to crew and hotels, travel companies, vendors such as late check in (after midnight), name change, pick up & drop off time, location change etc.
  • Assists with utilizing unused tickets on file for travelers.
  • Assists with special requests to coordinate travel arrangements.
  • Works with the NAL Corporate Travel Manager to manage compliance to company travel policy and preferred vendor programs.
  • Answers crew travel inquiries, last-minute changes, and customer service issues.
  • Assists with travel customer service concerns through our travel feedback email boxes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of travel industry or systems like Concur, preferred.
  • Good time management, customer services, communication, and organization skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team and be dependable and reliable.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to identify a problem and see it through with minimal supervision.
