About the position
CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for an UI/UX Designer/Engineer within our Intel sector advancing the national security mission through cutting edge technology. You must have a passion for keeping pace with rapidly evolving technology advancements and leveraging your knowledge on a highly collaborative team to deliver state-of-the-art capabilities. You will be responsible for designing and developing user interfaces and user experiences for digital products, ensuring they are both visually appealing and easy to use. In essence, your responsibilities will include creating wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs, conducting user research, and collaborating with developers to implement the designs. CGI Federal is growing its high-performance team whose members share a passion for building high-quality, scalable, advanced IT solutions in a collaborative, fast-paced, outcome-driven mission. This position is located in our Washington DC office.
Responsibilities
- User Research and Analysis: Understanding user needs, behaviors, and preferences through various research methods.
- UI Design: Creating visual elements like layouts, color schemes, typography, and interactive elements.
- UX Design: Developing the overall structure and flow of the user experience, ensuring it's intuitive and enjoyable.
- Prototyping: Building interactive mockups and prototypes to test and refine design concepts.
- Collaboration: Working closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders throughout the design and development process.
- Technical Implementation: Implementing designs using code, potentially including front-end development and design system integration.
- Usability Testing: Conducting tests to evaluate the usability and effectiveness of designs.
- Iteration and Optimization: Refining designs based on user feedback and data analysis.
Requirements
- Experience: Shall possess a minimum 6 years of experience related to the specific labor category with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
- Education: In addition, shall possess a degree in an area related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
- Security Clearance: TS/SCI with CI Poly
- Required: Adobe Creative Suite, demonstrated UI/UX design expertise, Microsoft Office Suite, proficient oral and written communication skills.
