Responsibilities
- Solve Real-World Challenges: Research user needs and design intuitive solutions that aid in pushing joist industry technology forward.
- Drive Design Excellence: Lead the charge in creating, prototyping, and refining user interfaces from concept to implementation.
- Empower Users: Design exceptional user experiences for software applications, including wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes.
Requirements
- BS Degree in Design, HCI, or Related Field
- 4+ Years of Related Experience
- Strong Skills in User Research, Design Thinking, Visual Communication, and Analysis
- Expertise in Design Tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite)
- Experience in designing for complex enterprise applications
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design principles
- Experience with design systems and component libraries
- Ability to work with and improve existing design frameworks
- Direct Experience with Industrial/Manufacturing Software Design
Nice-to-haves
- Full Stack Design: Experience designing across web, mobile, and desktop platforms in a collaborative environment.
- Design Leadership: Deep understanding of modern UX/UI principles and design methodologies.
- Willingness to Learn: Open to learning new design tools and emerging technologies.
- ERP/MRP Systems: Experience designing for these systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Technical Collaboration: Ability to work closely with developers and understand technical constraints.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of manufacturing processes and workflows. Structural or Civil Engineering knowledge is a plus!
- Leadership Qualities: Ability to inspire, lead and mentor junior designers and advocate for user-centered design.
