ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented UI/UX Front End Developer to join our team in Ashburn, Virginia. This is a hybrid position.

Responsibilities

  • Experience with design software, wireframe tools, and user journey maps
  • Ability to quickly prototype solutions leveraging usability principles
  • Working knowledge of the following technologies and software: Sketch, InVision, Visio, Figma, HTML, CSS (SCSS), iOS, Android, Design Systems, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Building/developing user interfaces and rich client browser applications using software design patterns
  • Understanding the needs of CBP Officers to build officer-centric apps and tools
  • Observing user behavior to improve the visual design and flow of analytic applications
  • Performing user research (i.e. target users/personas) and user testing (e.g., wireframes, prototypes)
  • Collaborating with product owners, scrum masters, project managers and other application engineers to gather, evaluate and implement solutions that support user requirements/needs

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (Permitted experience exchange: High School and 6 years of additional experience or Associate's Degree and 4 years of additional experience may be exchanged in lieu of a required Bachelor's degree)
  • Knowledge of coding with UI coding languages (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, JSON, AJAX)
  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks (e.g., AngularJS, ReactJS, JQuery)
  • Experience with Agile iterative software development methodology, processes and practices
  • Familiar with Security DevOps and CI/CD

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with cloud applications using Amazon Web Services (AWS EC2, RDS, S3)
  • Understanding of U.S. Digital Service Playbook concepts and Draft U.S. Web Design Standards
  • Experience with agile lifecycle management and engineering tools (e.g., Atlassian Jira, Confluence)
  • Experience using web/application server technologies (e.g., Tomcat etc.)
  • Experience with wireframing and prototyping
