The Software and Services team at Walmart/VIZIO drives the development and implementation of advanced software solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency. Responsibilities

  • Design and implement cloud-based solutions using Azure and AWS.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps.
  • Lead the deployment and management of Kubernetes (EKS/AKS) and serverless computing architectures.
  • Ensure security and compliance standards are met across all deployed services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Lead and manage a team of engineers, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
  • Drive team productivity by promoting effective collaboration, removing blockers, and optimizing workflows.
  • Monitor team health, morale, and workload to ensure sustainable performance and engagement.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience managing cloud applications and services in Azure and AWS.
  • Expertise in cloud networking, security, and automation.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, serverless computing, and microservices architectures.
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps.
  • Familiarity with database services (RDS, CosmosDB, DynamoDB) and observability tools like Datadog, Prometheus, and Grafana.
  • Ensure high standards of engineering quality, reliability, and scalability through best practices and coaching.
  • Participate in technical architecture and decision-making while balancing any assigned management duties.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 2 years' experience in software engineering or related area.
  • Background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
  • Knowledge of accessibility best practices.
