About the position
The Utility Machine Operator is responsible for filling in for vacation/absenteeism and must be able to perform all jobs and operate all machines in the department. The starting pay for this position is $23.10/hr. with a shift increase for third shift. The work hours are from 11pm to 7am.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for operating machinery, understanding specs of the product being ran, documenting both on paper and electronically machine setting, weights and other data as needed.
- Must be able to assemble, disassemble and clean equipment when needed and communicate issues to lead and supervisor.
- Keeps a legible accurate record as required including entering data as needed into a computer-based system.
- Perform any other work as assigned by supervisor.
- Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF Requirements.
- Must perform all positions of rotation, if applicable.
- Must be able to operate a Power Industrial Truck.
- Use and read scales and thermometers.
- Ability to perform basic math functions (adding, subtracting, multiplying, etc.) with use of calculator.
Requirements
- Must have 3 months of operator or food manufacturing experience listed in the work history or skills section.
- Must have 6 months of work history in 12 months to be considered.
- Must not have been terminated from previous employer for attendance or job abandonment.
