About the position

We are seeking a talented and experienced UX Product Designer to join our multidisciplinary UX team. In this role, you will drive the user experience for customer and employee-facing applications. You will work within a cross-functional team, influencing product and design decisions while owning projects from inception through development. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your expertise in UX research, design, content, and information architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams using agile methodology to define user stories and UX deliverables.
  • Influence design and product owner decisions based on UX best practices, design principles, and research.
  • Work closely with developers to implement effective and efficient solutions.
  • Collect, analyze, present, and act on feedback while managing changes to deliverables.
  • Present work clearly and compellingly to stakeholders, explaining design recommendations using best practices, research data, or business requirements.
  • Design the visual style, interface, and interaction flow of applications and experiences.
  • Develop conceptual diagrams, wireframes, visual mockups, and prototypes.
  • Create and maintain detailed specifications and design patterns.
  • Translate rules and assets into UX systems, programs, and enterprise solutions.
  • Prepare, manage, update, and distribute UX documentation, including navigational flows, wireframes, mock-ups, use cases, task flows, and prototypes.
  • Advocate for the user and collaborate with business owners to develop features and flows that align with user needs.
  • Create research strategies based on project KPIs and develop usability test plans, scripts, and scenarios for prototypes.
  • Use research techniques such as heuristic reviews, user interviews, and usability testing to evaluate designs.
  • Design, recruit, schedule, and moderate usability studies and user interviews.
  • Provide timely status reporting, including work left to do, issues, and risks on all projects.
  • Manage all communications necessary to complete the project, including negotiating with key stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors Engineering, Computer Science, Visual Design, Library Sciences, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience or training.
  • 3+ years of experience as a UX practitioner with a background in user experience design or interaction design.
  • Proficiency in modern design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Zeplin, Flinto, Adobe CC, and Figma.
  • Experience working closely with developers in an agile environment from inception through implementation.
  • Advanced analytical skills for solving complex data problems and implementing sustainable solutions.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines, product lines, roles, and geographical boundaries.
  • Knowledge of remote unmoderated testing tools and moderated testing platforms.
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and web/app design trends.
  • Experience in responsive, adaptive, and accessible designs.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and communicate effectively with non-technical users.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors Engineering, Computer Science, Visual Design, Library Sciences, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience as a UX practitioner with a background in user experience design or interaction design.
