UX/UI Sr. Designer - NY - JPMC

About the position

We are seeking a Senior UX/UI Designer to drive the creation of seamless, user-centered digital experiences across web and mobile platforms. This role is ideal for an experienced designer who excels in crafting intuitive interfaces, conducting user research, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to elevate the user experience. Experience in the banking and financial sector is highly beneficial, given the complexities of digital transactions, security, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to UX strategy development, collaborating with the UX Lead to refine and enhance user experience direction.
• Design user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI that balance user needs with business objectives.
• Work closely with a UX Researcher to interpret research insights and apply findings to improve the user experience.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure design alignment with product goals.
• Ensure design system consistency, contributing to and evolving design system components for scalable product design.
• Advocate for accessibility (WCAG), usability, and best practices throughout the design process.
• Partner with developers to ensure accurate and effective implementation of UX/UI designs.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in UX/UI design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design solutions.
• Proficiency in Figma, and other UX/UI design tools.
• Strong ability to create user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs.
• Experience collaborating with UX Researchers to integrate user research insights into the design process.
• Deep understanding of design systems, including creation, maintenance, and scalable implementation.
• Knowledge of responsive design, accessibility standards (WCAG), and mobile-first principles.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to contribute to strategy and articulate design decisions.
• A proactive, self-motivated mindset with strong organizational and time management skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience designing for financial services or banking, with an understanding of security, compliance, and complex transactional workflows.
• Knowledge of motion design, micro-interactions, and animations to enhance UI engagement.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, contributing to iterative design processes.
