About the position

The role involves defining and implementing the product strategy roadmap for North America in close cooperation with the Global Product Strategy team in Korea. The candidate will be responsible for identifying and communicating regional customer needs, market trends, regulatory requirements, and technology advancements. Collaboration with R&D and engineering teams is essential to ensure that new products align with market needs. Additionally, the candidate will monitor the competitive landscape and adjust product strategies accordingly. In terms of marketing, the candidate will develop and execute integrated marketing strategies to build brand awareness and market positioning within the North America Market. This includes leading product marketing efforts, overseeing social media campaigns, and managing customer tech days, industry conferences, and events. For business development, the candidate will build and manage industry relationships with OEMs and Tier 1's advanced engineering and product strategy resources. They will identify and pursue new markets to promote business expansion, lead long-term strategic planning, and evaluate M&A or strategic partnership opportunities to accelerate growth.

Responsibilities

  • Define and implement the product strategy roadmap for North America in close cooperation with Global Product Strategy team in Korea.
  • Identify and communicate regional customer needs, market trends, regulatory requirements, and technology advancements.
  • Work closely with R&D and engineering to ensure new products are aligned to market needs.
  • Closely monitor competitive landscape and adjust product strategies accordingly.
  • Develop and execute integrated marketing strategies to build brand awareness and market positioning within the North America Market.
  • Lead product marketing efforts including standard product communications, branding initiatives, and definition of unique selling points.
  • Oversee social media campaigns, customer tech days, industry conferences and events.
  • Build and manage industry relationships with OEM's and Tier1's advanced engineering and product strategy resources.
  • Identify and pursue new markets to promote business expansion.
  • Lead long-term strategic planning and identify emerging trends, risks, and new market opportunities (e.g. stationary storage, micro-mobility, commercial fleets).
  • Evaluate M&A/ Strategic partnership opportunities to accelerate growth.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in product management, marketing, strategy, or business development within EV, automotive, battery, or energy sectors.
  • Proven leadership experience at the Director or VP level, managing cross-functional teams.
  • Strong technical background with deep understanding of lithium-ion battery technologies and applications.
  • MBA or advanced degree in business, engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Track record of launching successful products, scaling businesses, and forging strategic partnerships.
