Vice President, Senior Software Engineer

About the position

As a Vice President, Senior Software Engineer at BlackRock, you will design and develop solutions to enhance Aladdin Product Group development productivity throughout the software development lifecycle. Your role will involve implementing and maintaining the next generation of production-grade software tools and frameworks that reduce effort and improve the stability of test software. You will also implement continuous integration practices to ensure successful deployment and increased efficiency. Collaboration with other teams, including Development, Quality Assurance, and Operations, will be essential to determine possible solutions for particular problems and issues. The number of direct reports may vary.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop solutions to enhance Aladdin Product Group development productivity.
• Implement and maintain production-grade software tools and frameworks.
• Implement continuous integration practices for successful deployment.
• Collaborate with Development, Quality Assurance, and Operations teams.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 24 months of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
• Experience with programming languages: Java, JavaScript, Python, Scala, Swift, OPA, HTML5.
• Experience with frameworks: Spring & Spring Boot, Hibernate, JPA2.0, Spark, Angular, React.
• Experience with databases: Oracle, Cassandra, MySQL, Firebase, SQL Server, Influx DB, Snowflake, Sybase, Prometheus.
• Experience with tools: AquaSec Scan, Veracode, Sonar, Grafana, PowerBI, Azure DevOps, Jupyter Notebooks, Apache Solr.
• Experience with test tools: JUnit, Cucumber, JMeter.
• Experience with cloud tools: AWS, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Experience with messaging protocols: gRPC, REST.
