Vice President, Marketing
Position Purpose:
Provide leadership and coordination of company marketing and ecommerce functions. Develop and implement AcuRite product marketing and brand strategies. Monitor and analyze Voice of Customer (VOC), marketing and product/platform category activity against market share growth goals.
Ensure the alignment of the Companys marketing/ecommerce strategies to the overall strategy of the company and include such areas as brand identity/awareness, product marketing/merchandising, developing channel strategies to grow key ecommerce partners, market research and seasonal promotions/internet marketing initiatives.
Key Job Activities:
* Drive marketing strategy, tactical planning, product merchandising, content creation, content calendar, creative project timelines, communications and deployment across key platforms (website, email, search, paid media, video, social, mobile, etc.).
* Guide the creation of engaging, effective campaign assets for multi-channel digital marketing programs and manage the roll-out and ongoing optimization of consumer products on e-commerce websites
* Drive decisions relating to branding and other marketing-related intellectual property.
* Monitor and analyze online initiatives and consumer behavior via analytics tools to provide actionable insights and drive improvement in marketing performance, champion the needs of the consumer (VOC), increase ecommerce sales, optimize online initiatives and improve the overall user experience.
* Manage all online public relations, marketing and advertising efforts. Ensure all marketing activities (digital, social, communications) are coordinated and aligned with strategic business goals.
* Develop and manage marketing budgets, and oversee the development and management of internal operating budgets.
* Gather information about the competitive landscape, industry trends and market share.
* Contribute to integrating website support/online marketing activities with consumer support department.
* Establish an implement short- and long-range goals, objectives, policies, and operating
procedures. Accountable for hitting revenue and performance goals.
* Work with department managers and corporate staff to develop one and three-year business plans for the company.
* Chair a committee with leaders in Sales, Product Development, Consumer Support and Operations to execute all of the above activities.
* Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate department staff.

Education and Experience:
* Bachelors degree in business, marketing or equivalent required; MBA preferred.
* A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in B2C consumer goods marketing, sales, and/or e-commerce.
*
* Experience optimizing and measuring success of digital marketing tools for e-commerce websites (at least one that receives 80k+ unique visitors per month)
* Experience with Voice of the Customer, customer satisfaction, and website user experience feedback tools
* Passionate obsession with emerging marketing trends.
* Ability to give creative direction, organized, eye for detail and project management skills required.
* Previous experience working with in-house marketing team required.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite preferred
* Experience building engaged communities through social media.
* Proven track record of using metrics and data analytics to generate sales and increase consumer engagement.
* Experienced in combining traditional and digital marketing plans with successful B2C and B2B companies.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
1. Experience in strategic planning and execution. Experience in planning marketing, branding and merchandising strategies, sales promotions and successful online public relations/ marketing efforts.
2. Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight time frames and simultaneously manage several projects. Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings. This is normally acquired through a combination of the completion of a Masters Degree in Marketing and ten years of experience in a senior-level sales and/or marketing position.
