About The Position

A 1st Class Carbon Steel Pipe Fitter performs layout, fabrication, installation, testing, and repair of pipe systems. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 6 months of carbon pipe fitting experience and the ability to successfully demonstrate proficiency in various hands-on pipe fitting tasks.

Requirements

Minimum of 6 months of carbon pipe fitting experience.
Ability to successfully demonstrate proficiency in the hands-on pipe fitter test, including:
Applying a bevel using a grinder with a sanding disc.
Cutting the opposing end of the pipe to saddle a pipe of the same size at a 90-degree angle.
Performing silver brazing of a socket joint pipe in the horizontal (flat and horizontal flow) and vertical (vertical up flow) positions by ASME requirements.
Strong understanding of pipe fitting techniques and best practices.
Proficiency in using tools and equipment related to pipe fitting.
Knowledge of ASME requirements for pipe fitting.
Attention to detail and ability to perform precise work.
Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
