Lookout Mountain School is a K-5 community elementary school located atop Lookout Mountain. LMES has been the cornerstone of Lookout Mountain, Tennessee, since 1878. We have a highly involved parent population, who with the community, support our endeavors on behalf of children.
We are looking for teachers who are professional, reliable, collaborative, highly qualified, knowledgeable of Tennessee content state standards and willing to work with our involved and supportive families.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required
• Valid Tennessee teaching license in Elementary Education (K-5) OR current enrollment in an accredited teacher preparation program

• Plan, deliver, and assess effective instruction aligned to Tennessee state standards
• Design engaging lessons with clear objectives and measurable outcomes
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners

• Build strong, respectful relationships with students and families
• Create a well-managed, structured classroom environment
• Participate in ongoing professional development and reflection

Benefits

• Salary Scale based on education and experience – starting at $50,000.00
• Eligible positions may qualify for additional pay under the Differentiated Compensation Plan
