This position is responsible for cleaning and inspection of cam cradles by way of established remanufacturing process. Associate is responsible for visual inspection, use of torque gun, use of wash tank, gauges and final inspection following quality standards. Requirements

  • Ability to work in a repetitive motion environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs frequently, with periodic lifts of up to 75lbs, (with assistance from a team member or use of hoist)
  • Ability to operate riveting, torquing, hand tools and small power tools in a safe and nondestructive manner.
  • Read and understand Work Station Instruction documentation
  • Willingness to cross-train throughout the area

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing (automotive/trucking) environment
  • Previous mechanical experience
  • High School Diploma / GED is preferred and further college education a plus

Responsibilities

  • Perform physically demanding manufacturing duties including repetitive processes, moderate to heavy lifting, the use of machinery, and following standardized work procedures
  • Recovery of Cam Cradles through washing & remanufacturing process
  • Operate torque wrenches, hoist, air tools, gauges, presses
  • Properly identify component parts by learning identification numbers
  • Complete training matrix for each rotation position
  • Ability to read and understand Work Station Instructions
  • Other tasks and/or duties as requested
  • Actively participate in improving work area in terms of safety, quality, attendance, productivity, suggestion activities, housekeeping, and throughput
