About the position

As a Senior Software Engineer (CA) for John Deere in Moline, IL, you will build integrations between systems (Software as a Service and internally developed); manage IT cloud infrastructure and services using AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms; develop, configure, and optimize SaaS platforms (such as Cority EHS) and internally developed programs; develop technical solutions to satisfy business requirements related to Enterprise Health, Safety & Facilities, and other corporate functions; evaluate and implement solutions to improve the cost, quality, and performance of software applications; and follow industry-standard agile software design methodology and DevOps techniques. Up to 50% remote work allowed. Must live within normal commuting distance of the worksite.

Responsibilities

  • Build integrations between systems (Software as a Service and internally developed)
  • Manage IT cloud infrastructure and services using AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms
  • Develop, configure, and optimize SaaS platforms (such as Cority EHS) and internally developed programs
  • Develop technical solutions to satisfy business requirements related to Enterprise Health, Safety & Facilities, and other corporate functions
  • Evaluate and implement solutions to improve the cost, quality, and performance of software applications
  • Follow industry-standard agile software design methodology and DevOps techniques

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience in development, coding, and configuration of applications and integrations using SAP, SuccessFactors, Cority, AWS, and DataBricks
  • 4 years of experience in maintaining infrastructure in AWS using scripting and DevOps techniques
  • 4 years of experience in development of data sources and analytics systems using enterprise data lake and DataBricks, and either Python or Java
  • 4 years of experience in application development using SAP, Java or Oracle
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field plus 7 years related experience
