Discover opportunities to make a difference at RTX. This is a multi-faceted Security Intern position working within a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. You will help develop, administer, and maintain a comprehensive security program in accordance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM). In this roe you will be exposed to investigations, compliance, large scale security projects, and the understanding on how everything ties into the Security environment.

Requirements

  • Must be at least a sophomore by the start of summer 2026 pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Political Science, Pre-Law/Law, Criminal Justice, Security & Intelligence, Homeland Security, Security Management, or Risk management or closely related.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • 3.0 cumulative GPA desired
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PPT, Project, Word)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct employee briefings including new hire orientation, in-processing/out-processing security briefings/debriefings, and security education.
  • Prepare and participate in semi-annual and yearly audits and inspections.
  • Assist with the implement of local Standard Operating procedures (SOP), Operations Security (OPSEC) Plans, and COMSEC requirements and guidelines.
  • Prepare and maintain inquiry reports on security infractions/violations and specifying preventive actions to be taken.
  • Prepare and submit suspicious contact and adverse information reports.
  • Assist with visitor access control and personnel security.
  • Large scale compliance efforts to gain alignment across locations.
