2026 Summer Intern, AI Engineering

ICFReston, VA
1d$37,855 - $64,354Hybrid

About The Position

Energy, Environment, and Infrastructure Tech and Products is where business needs meet modern engineering. We build practical, scalable solutions - spanning data, cloud, and AI - that help our teams and clients move faster, make smarter decisions, and deliver measurable outcomes. From rapid prototypes to production-ready products, we focus on turning real-world challenges into tools people rely on, and we do it with a hands-on, collaborative mindset. We are seeking a motivated intern with a foundation in programming and a passion for solving real problems using modern AI-enabled technology. Ideal candidates are eager to collaborate, comfortable learning quickly, and interested in applying GenAI tools (e.g., LLMs and prompt techniques) alongside core software and data engineering practices. This is a full-time, 10-week internship that begins in early June 2026. This is a hybrid position from our Reston, VA headquarters. At this time, we are unable to provide relocation nor housing assistance for this internship. Pay is expected to be $23/hour. A key objective of this internship is to create a win-win engagement: to obtain a fresh perspective, new ways of thinking, and emerging AI skills against real-world problems our clients face. The goal is to deliver work with measurable impact, and the intern may have the opportunity to present learning or project deliverables to leadership before the internship concludes.
