Job Summary- General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems is seeking an Information Technology (IT) Intern to join our team. In this role, you will gain valuable hands-on experience in various business functions while contributing to the success of the team. This internship is in-person at our St. Petersburg, FL location during the dates of May 18th to August 6th, 2026.

Requirements

Must be currently enrolled in related Technical courses or be within 6 months of graduation
No prior experience needed.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Oral and written communication skills.
Attentiveness.
Ability to understand and follow directions.
Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
May need to stand for long periods of time.
Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
This position is Safety-Sensitive.

Provides support to technical employees working in an organizational function related to the Intern's area of study.
Assists with technical tasks and project support.
Observes results, collects data, and compiles summaries and reports.
Learns technical processes and procedures.
Job shadows other more experienced professionals and or support staff.
May also support the documentation & updates of procedures or work instructions.
Handles basic incidents and requests.
Supports end-user requests for technical assistance by phone, email, or ticketing system.
Assists with troubleshooting and resolving basic computer, application, system, device, access, or performance issues.
Uses established processes and procedures to document, track, and resolve reported problems and to meet operational service levels and standards.
