About The Position

ICF’s Disaster Management Division is seeking a Summer Intern to support the Tech & Standards (T&S) practice. The T&S team focuses on developing and implementing technology-enabled solutions that support disaster recovery programs, grants management systems, and operational tools used by state and local governments. The intern will support teams across the Technology & Analytics and emerging technology initiatives within the Technology & Standards Practice. This role will work alongside Data Solutions Specialists, Geospatial Solutions Architects, and field technology teams to support research, documentation, and development of tools that improve disaster recovery program delivery. This is a full-time, 10-week internship expected to start early June 2026. The work may be fully remote from anywhere in the United States. At this time, ICF is unable to provide relocation or housing assistance. Pay is expected to be $23 per hour.

Requirements

  • Completion of at least 30 credit hours of college coursework by the internship start date.

  • Familiarity with data analytics tools such as Excel, Power BI, Python, or similar technologies
  • Exposure to GIS tools such as ArcGIS or other mapping platforms
  • Interest in emerging field technologies, including drones, spatial data collection, or remote sensing tools
  • Interest in low-code platforms, automation tools, or workflow technologies

Responsibilities

  • Support Data Solutions Specialists and analysts in researching and analyzing technology platforms used in disaster recovery and grants management programs
  • Assist with data analysis, reporting, and documentation related to operational tools and program systems
  • Support GIS and geospatial analysis teams with research, documentation, and mapping-related activities
  • Assist Immersive Technologies teams with documentation and research related to field technologies such as drones, damage inspection tools, and spatial data collection
  • Conduct market research on technology platforms, including low-code tools, workflow systems, data platforms, and analytics solutions
  • Assist with process mapping and workflow documentation to improve internal tools and program delivery processes
  • Support preparation of presentations, reports, and briefing materials used by internal leadership and project teams
  • Participate in team meetings and collaborate with cross-functional teams across the Technology & Standards Practice.
