About The Position

Requirements

  • This position will be Hybrid and require 2-3 days in the Cambridge office per week.
  • Must be pursuing a Master’s or PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biostatistics, Epidemiology or another relevant field
  • Experience in applying statistical methodology to very large datasets for observational research
  • Be acquainted with standard techniques of model training, validation, and characterization
  • Have experience with generating interpretable models (e.g., SHAP analysis or similar), because the ultimate goal will be to bring useful insights back to drug-development teams who do not have this kind of background.
  • Must be authorized towork in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship
  • Must be currently enrolled in a degree program graduating December 2026or later
  • The internship program is 10-12 weeksdepending on the two start dates (May 26th-August 14thor June 15th- August 21st)
  • The intern must be able to commit to one of these time frames
  • Able to work full time 40 hours a week during internship dates
  • Takeda does not provide a housing stipend or relocation support for the U.S Summer Internship Program

Responsibilities

  • Support internal activities like EGT team meetings in preparation of key program activities.
  • Support the development and execution of key RWE studies for FY2026, which will be identified before the start of the internship
  • Use of AI-enabled tools for efficiency in document process
  • Become familiar with the Takeda R&D business structure within GEO and other key stakeholders for GI2
