Applied Materials’ Office of the CTO is searching for an intern to join our team in summer 2026! The position will entail the following: Perform processing of device substrates, with particular focus on mass transfer of micron-scale devices and fabrication of micronized components. Handling of wafers and materials/chemical processing are required. Conduct metrology of processed device substrates, document and interpret data, and present key findings in technical meetings Collaborate with key technologists to discuss and execute experiments

Requirements

  • Student must be pursuing a Ph.D. degree program in Materials/Chemical Engineering, or a related field
  • Student must be in good academic standing at their university, with a GPA of 3.5 and above on a 4.0 scale
  • Experience in semiconductor processing or manufacturing preferred
  • Quick learner and able to work independently
