The Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC is a professional men’s soccer team competing in the USL Championship, the second tier of American soccer. The organization also includes the Pittsburgh Riveters SC, a USL W League women’s team launched in 2025, and the nationally recognized Riverhounds Development Academy. All teams operate out of the AHN Montour Sports Complex and the picturesque Highmark Stadium, located in Station Square along Pittsburgh’s iconic skyline. Highmark Stadium is set to expand to 15,000 in the coming years as part of a $125m renovation and expansion project. As a leader in professional soccer and community development, we are committed to excellence on the field and delivering an exceptional fan experience for every guest who walks through our gates. This one-of-a-kind internship offers a rare opportunity to help shape how Pittsburgh experiences the 2026 FIFA World Cup , bringing official watch parties and fan events into neighborhoods across the city. The intern will play a hands-on role in planning, promoting, and executing World Cup watch parties while collaborating with local venues, corporate partners, and internal departments of the Pittsburgh Riverhounds organization. Rather than observing from the sidelines, the intern will actively contribute to sponsor activations, prize distribution, and on-site event operations tied to one of the largest sporting events in the world. This role provides meaningful exposure to cross-department collaboration, blending marketing, partnerships, and community engagement in a professional sports environment. The intern will serve as a front-facing ambassador, helping create memorable, citywide fan experiences during a global event. Experience gained through this role will translate directly to future opportunities in sports, events, marketing, and partnerships, making it a strong and distinctive résumé builder.
