About The Position

Santander US is looking for the best talent to support our growth ambition and become future leaders through our 2027 Corporate Banking Summer Analyst Program. Our Corporate Banking team is part of the Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) Division of Santander. We provide a full array of traditional banking and financial services to support client’s day-to-day operations, business growth, and financial stability. Offering a portfolio of products, we serve enterprise corporations, publicly traded companies, large government departments, and businesses with high profit and turnover. Our Summer Analyst Program, beginning in June 2027, provides comprehensive training and introduction to Santander, CIB, and its capabilities. You will be combining this training with practical experience on both technical and interpersonal skills, helping your development during the internship. The 2027 Corporate Banking Summer Analyst Program is for undergraduate students in a four-year program who have an anticipated graduation date of May/June 2028. Based in New York (NY), you will become part of an international business working with teams across different geographies. We make it our mission to focus on attracting and retaining junior talent. Our program is designed to get you on the right path to the next level. Our program offers a unique experience in a global investment bank. We provide the skills and experience to become a thoughtful, strategic advisor. You’ll learn the nature of client service and how we build long-term relationships by putting their needs first, while developing the technical acumen to launch a career in CIB. You will be partnered with a mentor, who is able to provide you with guidance and advice throughout the Summer while immediately building your Santander network. While working alongside Relationship Managers and Product Bankers, you will gain knowledge of the product portfolios that the bank offers, as well as insight into the functions of all teams that assist with the preparation, presentation, and execution of a deal.

Requirements

  • An undergraduate student in a four-year program with an expected graduation date of May/June 2028.
  • Cumulative GPA is 3.5 or above.
  • Highly motivated and results oriented with a desire to exceed expectations.
  • Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and courage.
  • Sharp communication skills with the ability to express facts and ideas clearly both verbally and in writing, interacting professionally, transparently, and effectively with people at all levels.
  • Strong English communication skills both written and spoken required, foreign language skills are a plus.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Strong critical thinking with the ability to develop solutions to complex challenges.
  • Ability to multi-task as required.
  • Ability to work independently on special projects.
  • Ability to effectively contribute in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Coursework in or exposure to finance, economics, accounting, or business.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office products.
