About The Position

2nd Shift Production Supervisor | Bardstown, KY | Manufacturing Leadership Role NPR of America, Inc. is a Tier I automotive supplier of premium pistons where People, Process, Power, and Performance are what it's all about. NPR of America is seeking a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor for our Bardstown, KY facility. In this role, you will oversee production operations for our uniquely crafted piston rings while leading and supporting the team on shift. This position is ideal for a motivated leader with strong supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment and a willingness to learn and grow. Shift Details 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:10 PM Schedule: Monday through Friday This position reports to the Production Manager. What's in it for you? Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing production supervision experience; automotive industry experience preferred.
  • Associate’s degree in industrial manufacturing, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, guide, and achieve results through others while fostering respectful, positive relationships.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural environment and collaborate across all levels of the facility.
  • Hands-on experience with 5S, cost reduction, and scrap reduction initiatives; familiarity with ISO certification processes and OSHA regulations.
  • Excellent written, verbal, analytical, and presentation skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Highly goal-driven with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Assist management with monitoring manufacturing and inventory control processes, ensuring all products and inventory in process are ran to standard production specifications and to the production schedule.
  • Work closely with the maintenance department to determine optimal times for repairs on production equipment.
  • Inspect machines, equipment, and the facility for conformance with operational standards.
  • Coach, counsel, and develop team members.
  • Maintain time and attendance by reviewing and approving timecards.
  • Review department schedules to ensure adequate staffing is in place.
  • Routinely walk the production floor to inspect forms, assist team members with questions, etc.
  • Conduct team meetings at the start of shift and participate in shift exchange meetings.
  • Ensure all quality and safety standards are being followed.
  • Maintain effective working relationships and communications with all departments.
  • Promote employee engagement.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
