Your health and safety are our number one priority, and we will do our best to accommodate within reason. ---------------------------------------- ESSENTIAL FUNCTION: The primary purpose of this position is to lead production line team members, perform Production Team Leader duties, and provide support to the department supervisor.

Requirements

  • Processing Team Leader/Processor
  • ERP scheduling module basic
  • Team leading certificate.
  • Team Leading, Coaching, Production Planning and Scheduling, Managing Processes, Process Improvement, Problem Solving/Analysis, Results Driven, Communication Proficiency, Time Management.
  • Experienced with the ability to meet production schedules.
  • Ability to understand the processes and to run all available equipment in Production department.
  • Ability to develop strong production teams, maintain employee retention and safety, and maintain equipment and cleanliness of work areas.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and able to work well with a diverse group of staff, co-workers, and all those involved with production process.
  • Experienced in being responsible for the company facilities, equipment or other material assets.
  • Must be team-oriented and able to work well in a team setting yet be able to work independently as needed.
  • Able to handle repetitious and routine work, detail-oriented, self-motivated, organized, and uses good judgment.
  • English comprehension including speaking, reading, and writing is required for our business's necessity to ensure a safe and effective work environment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous 2-3 years of Team Leading experience in a food production environment (preferred)
  • Food Safety Systems
  • Familiar with ERP software
  • Team leader/supervisor training
  • Behavior based safety.

  • OSHA 10 hrs.
  • Must be able to work in various indoor temperatures including elevated heat and humidity.
  • Exposure to elevated noise levels which occurs below OSHA thresholds.
  • Infrequent exposure to machine sanitation solutions and detergents.
  • Exposure to various spices and food manufacturing smells throughout a work shift.
  • Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment [PPE].
  • Required to follow Good Manufacturing Practices [GMPs].
  • Requires infrequent lifting up to 30 lbs.
  • Requires prolonged sitting or standing throughout the work-shift.
  • Requires frequent use of both hands for typing.
  • Exposure to food allergens such as, but not limited to, milk eggs, tree nuts, wheat, and soybeans will occur.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for upholding company policies and procedures including but not limited to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), record keeping, personnel qualifications, sanitation, cleanliness, equipment verification, process validation, and complaint handling.
  • Leads production filling lines employees, maintains staff by training and providing development of employees; shares detailed reports about team performance, tracks attendance, and assists department supervisor with hiring processes.
  • Communicates job expectations; monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Resolves personnel problems by answering team member questions, helps with team member problems; investigating issues; identifying solutions; and recommending action.
  • Support department supervisor and perform leadership duties when the supervisor is absent or out of office.
  • Promote healthy communication between workers and management.
  • Prepare work schedules and shift job orders by utilizing ERP software, distributing personnel work assignments; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; resolving problems; and reporting results.
  • Maintains workflow by monitoring steps of the process; inventory control; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and encouraging a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
  • Maintains quality and safety by enforcing organization standards.
  • Ensures operation of equipment, which includes pumps, filling lines, filters and calling for repairs.
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Requires infrequent use of electric pallet jacks.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
