About The Position

Florence House, one of Preble Street’s Housing First programs, provides comprehensive supportive services, shelter, and permanent housing for women 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Florence House currently has an opening for a 2nd Shift Supervisor. As a member of the collaborative management team, the Supervisor’s responsibilities include supervising the 2nd shift direct service team, overseeing casework activities, leading program activities, providing program coverage and direct services to clients and tenants, and performing administrative and management tasks in support of the program. The schedule for this position is Sunday – Thursday 2pm-10:30pm.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 3 to 5 years relevant, related experience leading a team, or a comparable combination of education, training, and work experience
• MHRT-C Certification or eligibility for certification
• Experience working with people experiencing homelessness and mental health and substance use disorders
• Ability to lead, supervise, and direct the work of direct service staff
• Strong communication, de-escalation, and crisis intervention skills
• Ability to work with and maintain professional boundaries with diverse populations
• Understanding of and alignment with Preble Street’s mission
• Commitment to providing low-barrier, high-quality services to people experiencing homelessness
