About The Position

GENERAL OVERVIEW: This job performs various 3D imaging procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Manipulates CT and MRI medical images on highly sophisticated 3D workstations and specialized reconstruction software in multiple planes and dimensions for clinical visualization and qualitative analysis of diagnostic and interventional studies, and calculations of volumes as directed. (30%) Prepares and manages transfer of image data to and from in an accurate and timely manner. (30%) Collaborates with other professional colleagues and clinicians to be able to respond to clinicians' detailed request for views depicting certain anatomy and/or pathology. (20%) Provides technical expertise for development of 3D imaging protocols on varied patient populations. (10%) Performs quality control functions to ensure timely reporting. (10%) Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

  • Minimum Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year of relevant experience and/or education as determined by the company in lieu of associate’s degree
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Computed tomography (CT) certification or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Magnetic Resonance (MR) certification
  • 5 years’ experience as a CT Technologist or MRI Technologist with knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, medical terminology and imaging equipment
  • CPR – American Heart Association
  • Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
  • Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
  • Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years’ experience as a CT or MR technologist at a Level I or II Trauma Center and/or Stroke Center
  • Experience in volumetric/3D image processing
