Job SummaryThe Teacher at St. Rose of Lima School is responsible for providing high-quality instruction and faith formation within parish educational programs. Rooted in the mission of the Catholic Church, the Teacher fosters academic growth, spiritual development, and a love of learning in a supportive, faith-filled environment. The Teacher works collaboratively with parish staff, families, and students to support the holistic development of each learner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
  • Teaching experience preferred
  • Knowledge of instructional best practices and classroom management
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to the mission and teachings of the Roman Catholic Church
  • Practicing Catholic preferred, in accordance with parish policy
  • Completion of diocesan Safe Environment training and background checks required

  • Teaching experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction aligned with parish or diocesan guidelines
  • Integrate Catholic teachings, values, and traditions into daily instruction
  • Create a positive, respectful, and faith-centered classroom environment
  • Assess student learning and maintain appropriate records and documentation
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and needs
  • Collaborate with parish staff, catechists, and administrators to support student success
  • Participate in parish meetings, training sessions, and professional development
  • Support parish events and activities as needed
  • Uphold classroom management practices that reflect Gospel values
