About The Position

St. Ambrose Catholic school is seeking a 5th Grade Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The 5th Grade Teacher is responsible for creating an engaging, supportive, and academically rigorous learning environment. The teacher plans, delivers, and assesses instruction that aligns with curriculum standards while nurturing the intellectual, social, emotional, and spiritual growth of each student. This role requires strong communication skills, a commitment to student success, and a collaborative approach with colleagues, families, and school leadership. The teacher will integrate Catholic values into all aspects of a self-contained classroom, maintain high academic standards, and uphold the mission and vision of the school in alignment with the National Standards and Benchmarks for Effective Catholic Elementary and Secondary Schools (NSBECS).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Valid teaching credential or certification appropriate for elementary education.
• Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church preferred.
• Knowledge of Catholic teachings and a commitment to faith-based education.
