Job Summary The Clinical Director plays a pivotal role in overseeing the clinical operations of our ABA facility. This leadership position is responsible for ensuring that the clinic is in compliance with federal and state laws, guidelines, and regulations. The Clinical Director will manage clinical staff, develop policies and procedures, and work closely with other departments to enhance the quality of care provided to our patients. The clinical director reports to the President/CEO. The Clinical Director is required to be a licensed Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst. Typical Duties Posts Signs identifying the clinical director in a conspicuous location within the clinic. Reviews patient referral contracts or agreements executed by the clinic Ensures that all health care practitioners at the clinic have and maintain active and appropriate certification or licensure for the level of care being provided. Serves as the clinic records owner. Ensures compliance with the recordkeeping and adverse incident reporting requirements, respective practice acts, and rules. Conducts systematic reviews of clinic billings to ensure that the billings are not fraudulent or unlawful. Manage and mentor clinical staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development. Develop, implement, and evaluate clinical policies and procedures to enhance patient care. Collaborate with healthcare management teams to align clinical practices with organizational goals. Monitor patient outcomes and implement strategies for quality improvement. Facilitate communication between clinical staff, administration, and other departments to ensure cohesive operations. Skills Strong management skills with a focus on leading diverse teams in a healthcare setting. In-depth knowledge of JCAHO standards and healthcare regulations. Proven experience in healthcare management, including strategic planning and operational oversight. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written to effectively interact with staff, patients, and stakeholders. Ability to analyze complex situations and make informed decisions that prioritize patient care. Familiarity with medical management practices and principles that enhance service delivery. Ability to maintain confidentiality per HIPAA standards, communicate effectively, and establish positive working relationships with patients and staff.
