About The Position

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Cyber Security Systems Engineer to join our team! In this role you will review Air Base Air Defense (ABAD) concept of operation, level of effectiveness, architecture, and design and provide oversight of documentation work. This position is located in Ramstein AFB, Germany (International Assignment) NO REMOTE WORK

Requirements

  • Experience with threat detection and prevention, endpoint monitoring, data protection, vulnerability management and access control.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 8+ years relevant experience or 11+ years of Military or specialize experience in lieu of a degree
  • Possess knowledge of network design and maintenance, fault isolation, performance monitoring, configuration management standards, principles, and techniques.
  • Experience with Risk management Framework (RMF)
  • IAT-Level II Cyber Certification
  • Secret Clearance is required with ability to obtain Top Secret Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with data collection, threat monitoring, incident response, compliance and reporting, security policy enforcement and automation.
  • Experience with endpoint hardening and SIEM integration for centralized threat detection, analysis and incident response.
  • Experience with a wide spectrum of Air Force C2 systems

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the analysis of security alerts using Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems and tools.
  • Develop system policies and procedures that enforce the protection and management of system software and hardware.
  • Performs assessments of systems and networks within the networking environment or enclave and identifies where those systems/networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy.
  • Establishes strict program control processes to ensure mitigation of risks and supports for obtaining certification and accreditation of systems.
  • Assists in the implementation of required government policy (e.g.,, NISPOM, DCID 6/3) and makes recommendations on process tailoring.
  • Performs analyses to validate established security requirements and recommend additional security requirements and safeguards where required.
  • Supports the formal Security Test & Evaluation (ST&E) required by each government accrediting authority through pre-test preparations, participation in the tests, analysis of the results, and preparation of required reports.
  • Periodically conducts a review of each system’s audits and monitors corrective actions until all actions are closed.
