About the Role & Program: The ABC News Medical Unit is a team of journalists, scientists and medical doctors responsible for all health and medical reporting across all ABC News platforms including World News Tonight with David Muir, Good Morning America, Nightline, The View, Tamron Hall, ABC News Digital, ABC News Audio, and our affiliated stations in all 50 states. The team pitches story ideas, contributes editorial guidance and writes, edits and produces content that is seen by millions of people every day. This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in the New York, New York area from June 2026 - January 2027. What You Will Do: An internship with the ABC News Medical Unit offers hands-on experience in the office, in the edit room and on the set with the team reporting potentially life changing health news to the nation. Work side-by-side with top health and medical journalists building upon the classroom skills you’ve already obtained by delivering context and content for ABC News on programs like Good Morning America and World News Tonight. You’ll support a team that keeps the entire ABC News network clear, accurate, and ahead of the curve on every major medical story. We track fast-moving science, spot important trends, and make sure every report lands with the right context and clarity. If selected for this role, you will report to the Executive Producer of the ABC News Medical Unit.
