About The Position

About the Role & Program: We are seeking a summer intern to be part of Diane Sawyer’s Unit at ABC News. Our team is a small, long-form production unit dedicated to producing non-fiction projects and topical narrative specials for Hulu and Disney +, as well as network specials. This internship is a full-time commitment in New York, NY during Summer 2026.

Requirements

Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail
Experience working in collaborative environments and managing multiple projects
Experience with researching
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization
Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
Fully available from Monday to Friday for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week
Able to provide own housing & transportation for the duration of the internship program in the New York City area

Nice To Haves

Previous experience (academic or internship) in journalism (print and/or broadcast); television, news and news media production; and/or television news script writing
Familiarity with archival and digital resources
Understanding of production technologies in both pre- and post- production
Junior or Senior year preferred
Major or previous coursework in Journalism, Film, Communications, Media Studies, Film/Television, or a related field
